Welcome
to the Steps to Life Web site. Our name tells all. The whole purpose
of our existence is to help as many people in this dying planet
to find out how to have physical, mental and spiritual health now
and even more importantly to understand what steps they need to
take to inherit eternal life in that better land where death, sickness,
pain and disappointment will never occur again. Jesus made plain
the steps to life in his private interview with Nicodemus where
he says (translated to modern colloquial English) God loved the
world so much that He gave His One and Only-begotten Son so that
whoever commits to Him [as Lord] will not perish but have everlasting
life. John 3:16

Steps to Life
was founded by Pastor Marshall Grosboll and his wife Lillian. Marshall
had been a pastor in Pennsylvania, and Maryland where he had engaged
with his churches in public evangelism and also in personal evangelism.
In the early 1980's while pastoring in Maryland, with his church
he was studying from inspired writings about what we must do to
receive the Holy Spirit. They were impressed with this statement:
"The great outpouring of the Spirit of God, which lightens
the whole earth with His glory, will not come until we have an enlightened
people, that know by experience what it means to be laborers together
with God. When we have entire, wholehearted consecration to the
service of Christ, God will recognize the fact by an outpouring
of His Spirit without measure; but this will not be while the largest
portion of the church are not laborers together with God."
RH July 21, 1896. They immediately began to prepare to help each
church member become a "laborer together with God." It
was decided to educate the church members to give Bible studies.
Marshall could not find a series of Bible studies that he liked
which was designed for a person to go into another person's home
and give a Bible study. Almost all printed Bible studies were designed
for a Bible correspondence school and used simple deductive reasoning
and what he wanted was Bible studies that would use inductive reasoning
and help the student think through the subject he was studying from
his Bible instead of only answering deductive questions. So Marshall
designed a set of Bible studies in 3 steps, the first 10 studies
about becoming a Christian and the new life in Christ, the second
10 studies about God's last message for our perishing world and
the third 10 studies about becoming part of God's remnant people.
In 1986 Marshall
was transferred to Wichita, Kansas to pastor a local church. It
was during this time that he established the Institute of Ministry
in which people learned how to give Bible studies and do personal
outreach and public evangelism. In 1987 a television program was
developed and started to air on the local television station and
a Bible Correspondence School was started which still exists today.
Marshall
began to devote full-time to this outreach ministry in 1988 working
with several associates from the basement of his home, keeping the
name of Steps to Life. Returning from a camp meeting held in Washington
state on July 22, 1991, Marshall and his family met with tragedy
as the airplane he was piloting went down, killing all aboard including
his wife and two young children. Although this was a tragic loss,
Steps to Life continues on in the same spirit, reaching many souls
throughout the world with the Everlasting Gospel of the Three Angels
Messages. To carry on what was started, Marshall's brother Dr. John
Grosboll moved to Wichita. He was joined by his sister and brother
in law, Ron and Gwen Reeves and their family and their parents.
Through their hard work, along with a dedicated staff and the Lord's
blessings, Steps to Life has grown to the ministry that it is today.
Today the Steps
to Life program with Pastor John Grosboll can be seen and heard
on television and radio stations across the United States . Steps
to Life has been actively involved with revival and reformation
and has been on the forefront of supporting the Home Church Movement
throughout the world. A monthly magazine called Land Marks
has been in print since August 1993 encouraging all who read its
pages to stand by the land marks of the Seventh-day Adventist faith.
Currently thousands of issues are mailed to 87 countries on seven
continents. Developing from the humble beginnings of a few people
working out of a basement into a world-wide ministry, Steps to Life
continues to fulfill the gospel commission of preaching the love
of Jesus and preparing a people for His soon coming.

An important
tool in reaching people with the Three Angels Message is the use
of television and radio. With the use of our in-house facilities,
we are able to produce Bible based programming presenting the truths
of the everlasting gospel and preparing a people for the soon coming
of Jesus. We have developed a 52 part, year-long Prophecy Seminar
taking the viewers/listeners through the prophecies of Daniel and
Revelation and addressing the issues of the beast, the mark of the
beast, state of the dead, the Sabbath and many other vital topics
of study.
We also provide free materials that follow the subject of the program
to the viewer/listener who calls or writes our ministry and give
them the opportunity to enroll in our free Bible Correspondence
School.
If
you are interested in sponsoring the Steps to Life program on television

With a Bible
Correspondence School and ongoing seminars and public outreach,
the work of spreading the Three Angels Message is alive and well
in Ghana. Under the direction of Pastor Joseph Class-Peters and
with the help of faithful workers, many in the African country of
Ghana are learning Bible truths for the first time or hearing the
message as never before presented.
Always
seeking for new ways of reaching the people, Steps to Life-Ghana
is busy doing street evangelism in the open markets, holding prophecy
and health seminars and recently opened a new Christian Library.
Working as a support ministry with the Historic Adventist Church
in Ghana, Steps to Life has also established an orphanage and a
medical clinic.

As the second
coming of Jesus draws nearer each day, the needs of the work increases.
As much as Steps to Life would like to fulfill every need presented,
we do not have the time or resources to do so. In situations like
these we seek the help of fellow believers who are able to work
in their part of the world to meet some of these needs. In many cases,
if help can be found then Steps to Life will act in a supporting
role by either providing the funds or the materials needed for a
particular project.
With the help of our supporters the proclamation of the Three Angels
Messages continues to move forward and God's people are uniting
to do a work of preparing a people for Heaven.
We appreciate
working with dedicated individuals and ministries such as David
Wilson and Bible Alive Ministries located in Zambia, Africa. Here
we have been able to air the Steps to Life television program with
Bible Alive following up the responses for Bible Studies. We have
also had the privilege of helping with the publishing work started
by Bible Alive Ministries by helping to partially fund the building
of the printing house and the purchase of a printing press and other
supplies.

In
the South Pacific and Papua New Guinea we have worked closely with
others in supporting the work of laymen in this area. We have helped
by providing literature, funds for the completion of a printing
house and helping the pastors to have better access to those living
in remote areas. We are thankful for the opportunity to work with
these dedicated people in this part of the world.
In
Central and South America the brethren have presented the need for
materials in the Spanish language. Steps to Life has teamed up with Cornerstone Publications in sending containers filled with Earth's
Final
Warning
along with other materials. There is a great awakening taking place
among the lay people who are very active in passing out literature,
public evangelism, and sharing the health message. Click

Sharing
the Three Angels Messages is at the heart of what this ministry
is all about. In January 2001 Steps to Life joined up with members
of three other ministries and went on a Evangelistic Mission Trip
to the country of Congo, Africa. The attendance at the nightly prophecy
meetings averaged close to 300 people.
Meetings
dealing with health and basic hygiene were also presented as well
as hands on presentations of organic gardening. In a country where
Bibles and other religious materials are in short supply, the people
were very happy to receive these items. We are now working closely
with the local brethren and helping them in their work of reaching
out to the people with the Everlasting Gospel.
These are just
a few instances in which Steps to Life has been able to work with
others. We also support projects in the Philippines, Romania and
India and other places world-wide.
